Rwanda Stock Exchange Hosts Listings Forum 2026 to Bridge the Gap Between Businesses and Capital Markets
KIGALI, Rwanda, March 19, 2026 – Rwanda Stock Exchange (RSE) today hosted the 2026 edition of the Listings Forum. Under the theme “Capital Market Connect: Preparing Businesses for Investment Success,” the forum brought together entrepreneurs, investors, and policymakers to discuss strategies for scaling Rwanda’s private sector through the capital markets.
The forum highlighted the importance of transparency, governance, and long-term financial planning as key drivers for attracting investment.
“Good businesses require access to great capital. Capital markets allow ideas to become companies, and companies to become industries.”
Mr. Pierre Celestin Rwabukumba, CEO of the Rwanda Stock Exchange, opened the forum by emphasizing the strategic role of financial markets.
Mr. Bob Junker, Head of Cooperation at the Luxembourg Embassy in Kigali, reaffirmed the international community’s support for Rwanda’s financial growth:
“Capital markets play a critical role in enabling businesses to grow, to innovate, and to compete.”
Mr. Antoine Marie Kajangwe, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Trade and Industry (MINICOM), delivered the Keynote Address, noting that preparation is the bridge to funding: “A key barrier is meeting corporate governance standards. Investments follow preparation.”
The event concluded with a call to action for Rwandan SMEs to utilize the RSE Investment Clinic, a program designed to provide advisory services as well as training in financial reporting and governance to make companies “investment ready.”
